How does CareLinx work?
CareLinx is a national network of highly vetted, professional, non-medical caregivers, offering “technology with a human touch.” CareLinx can connect patients and families with caregivers through online portals or telephonic support. For the Post-Operative Support program, you will first request services, providing details on your caregiving needs. Then using our advanced matching algorithm, we will find a caregiver for you that meets your needs.
What types of home care services do caregivers normally provide?
Caregivers can assist with a variety of daily living activities and non-medical support to individuals recovering from surgery. Services include assistance with transportation from the surgical center, follow-up appointments, and errands; mobility assistance; help with bathing, grooming, and light exercise; meal preparation, and companionship. Caregivers may also offer limited support with medication, such as providing reminders or accompanying you to pick up prescriptions. However, caregivers are not authorized to administer or dispense medication.
Are caregivers licensed and how are they screened?
CareLinx caregivers come from a wide range of professionals including retired RNs. Some caregivers will have a CNA or HHA, but it is not required to be a caregiver. CareLinx conducts extensive background screenings, requires specific training programs, and offers continuing education for caregivers to ensure the best quality of care. Our Care Advisors will work with you to match you with a caregiver who has the experience that meets their individual needs.

Does CareLinx provide customer support for patients wanting to use this service?
You’ll have access to a dedicated CareLinx Care Advisor who can provide additional support throughout the entire matching process. Care Advisors are available to answer any CareLinx-related questions during enrollment and matching and will continue to assist families with any care needs, adjustments, or future inquiries.
How do I pay for caregiving?
When CareLinx finds you a caregiver, you will receive an email requesting your payment information. CareLinx services are paid for out-of-pocket and are not covered by insurance.
How do I cancel or make changes to the caregiving I have alreadyrequested?
All changes can be communicated to your Care Advisor at: 1-888-866-0144,Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST. Any changes must be made at least 48hours in advance of the scheduled shift. If changes are requested less than 48hours in advance, you may be responsible for all or some of the costs.
Are there accommodations for clients who do not speak English?
Yes, CareLinx can directly support Spanish-speaking clients. Additionally, Care Advisors have access to a phone-based translation service that provides assistance in most other languages.
